Tony and I have been married since May 10th, 2003. We have Zack, Whitney and Carter. We are very happy and very busy. We like to just hang out with family the most. Tony works for Schlumberger Wireline and I work for Dr. Burk Young doing transcription. We are just watching our kids grow and enjoying life.

Carter's Birthday
I haven't blogged in a long time (obviously) so I missed blogging Carter's birthday. He was having a rough few days over his birthday and Christmas. He hadn't been feeling well, just a stomach bug. We celebrated twice, once with Tony's family and once with mine. Carter wanted a Mario birthday. He must have told me a dozen times. I made the cake myself and then forgot to take pictures. My nephew A.J. helped me out and took a few with his phone before the cake was devoured.
Rice Krispies Treats
This is the delicious Rice Krispies Treats recipe I wrote today.
3 Tablespoons of butter
2 squares of Almond Bark
10 ounces of marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies
20 caramels 1/8 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
Grease or spray 9 by 13 pan. Melt together the butter and Almond Bark over low heat. After it is combined and melted add the marshmallows. Melt, stirring constantly. Add the Rice Krispies and stir to combine. Pour into pan, pat down with buttered hands. In a small saucepan melt caramels with evaporated milk stirring until smooth. Drizzle over the top of the treats in the pan. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second increments until melted. Drizzle over the treats. Let cool for at least an hour. Cut into any ridiculous size you want.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go lick the spoons.
March 2011
It's been a while since I blogged anything, lucky I can even remember my own blog address. I made some delicious looking rice krispie treats today. We haven't eaten them yet because I am taking them to Mom and Dad's house for dessert after Sunday dinner. I will post pictures and the recipe soon. Whitney turned six a few days ago. SIX! Really she is 6! She is getting so tall! And so smart...she reads anything and everything. Carter is talking really clearly, he's a lot easier to understand. We are so excited for some warm weather and camping. Whitney can hardly wait! Zack is doing great. He had surgery to remove his appendix on February 16th. His appendix had burst and so kept him in the hospital for a few days after surgery. He had to be hospitalized again the following week because of infection and the doctors had to place a drain. He is over a month out from his surgery and he is doing awesome! He came to stay over the last weekend and was able to go bowling, ride his bike, and play with Carter and Whitney.
