Summer Fun

This summer is going by so fast! Whitney is bored out of her mind, I can't wait for preschool to start again. Carter is almost ready to crawl, he has figured out how to get his knees under him and rock back and forth. The idea of him crawling excites Whitney a lot but I don't think she realizes the implications of it. She will when he crawls into her room and touches her stuff.

Tony's grandma passed away on July 25th, she was 93. I am tired of funerals! I am missing my grandmas soo much lately!

Dr. Young offered me a job at the office again but I chose to stay home with the kids still, I hope I made the right decision in the this economy! I still have transcriptions and I have recently started making beaded watch bands to sell.

I am making some mid-year resolutions, one is to get on a better schedule and actually shower in the morning instead of mid-afternoon. Another is to try to keep my blog updated. I would also like to try to floss more and workout more. We'll see how these go.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun

I guess I forgot I had a blog....but I'm back and I even managed to upload a picture! Here is my cute family, minus our cute Zack, when we blessed Carter. This was the shot right before Whitney decided she had had enough. Carter is growing like crazy and Whitney just seems to get smarter each day.

Whitney has a comeback for everything I say, she really keeps me on my toes. She is learning her letters and wants to write her name on everything. She does pretty well except for occasionally mixing up some letters. I tried to help her today and she told me "Mom, it's my name and I will write it the way I want to write it." What can I say to that. She is so funny, love her so much.

Carter is learning new things all the time now. He has been eating solid foods for almost two months and pretty much likes everything. He is also sitting up and just learned to roll over. He did those two things backwards but I am probably at fault there for not putting him on his back often enough before. He giggles at Whit all the time, even when she doesn't think things are funny. She fell down the other day and whined about it and he cracked up. Already the sibling fighting has begun.

Zack is out of school for the summer and seems to be excited for some more camping. He rode the four-wheeler for about an hour around camp over the weekend. He just went around and around in circles and he didn't look up most of the time. We were a little anxious about the trucks getting hit but he did pretty good.

Tony and I are staying busy lately. Work has gotten busier for Tony so we are thankful for that and of course I have my hands full with the kids and the housework. I am afraid summer will be over before we know it as fast as it seems to be going now. I can't believe that Carter is already almost six months old and Whitney is four and Zack will be eight next month! Where does time go?

Playhouse progress

I think Tony is almost fed up with the playhouse. Every time he works on it the weather starts out good and ends up terrible. I told him he is bringing on the bad weather and maybe he should stop working on the playhouse. Tony's back if feeling much better, he is still quite sore though and can't lift anything yet. That also puts a damper on the playhouse. He has just been doing a little bit of sanding and simple finish work. Carter went for a checkup yesterday and he weighs 14 pounds 14 ounces already, he is such a big boy! Whitney's break at school starts today, I would like to do something fun with her while she's out of school if we could get some nice weather.

I'm blogging now

So I decided to start blogging to keep people updated. Carter is getting so big, he goos and almost giggles. He also has the cutest, most engaging smile. Whitney is doing great too, she is really enjoying preschool and acts like such a grown up. Zack also is doing great, his mom said that parent teacher conferences went really well and that he is one of the only kids in class who understands the concept of fractions. We are all getting spring fever, Tony is almost finished building a playhouse for the kids and Whitney and Zack can't wait to go camping. Between the kids, the dog, the housework and working from home I don't know why I thought blogging would be a good idea. I guess I just needed another hobby.
